Lincoln boys and girls sweep AA team titles in S.D. By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Sophomore Krista Bickley of Brandon Valley won two more state titles, clocking 24.84 and 55.80 for Class AA wins in the 200 and 400 meters. But the biggest sprint news came from the Stevens girls, who broke the state record in the 4x100 relay with 48.38. That quartet included freshman Kyah Watson, who finished third in the 100 and fourth in the 200. Senior Callie DeWitt of O’Gorman won the AA girls 100 meters in 12.06 and also the long jump with 18-6.75. Sprinter Collin Brison and distance runner Gabe Peters were a lethal combination for the Lincoln boys, who scored 151 points. Brison won the 100 (10.90) and the 200 (22.22) and Peters took the 1,600 (4:19.72) and 3,200 (9:36.23). Lincoln also won the 4x100, 4x200 and Sprint Medley. Shayla Howell of Belle Fourche swept the Class A 100 (12.33) and 200 (25.62) and also won the long jump (18-5.75) and triple jump (39-9.25). Freshman Caelyn Valandra-Prue of Todd County ran 56.52 to win the 400. Cameron Kuil of Winner won the Class A 200 and 400 (48.52) and also placed second in the 100. He was second in the 100 by .01 seconds. Junior Daniel Burkhalter of Bison won the Class B boys 1,600 (4:19.55) and 3,200 (9:31.32). Karley Peters of Parker won the 100 (12.41), 200 (25.97) and 400 (57.52).
